It is believed that Egyptians used Block Boards to make furniture thousands of years ago. Today, Block Boards are the material of choice for doors, kitchen cabinets, shelves, long tables, benches, partitions, bed frames and more. With fewer tendencies to sag or bend, Block Boards are preferred for applications where long pieces of wood are required or where the strength of furniture is critical.

The strength of Block Boards comes from the core, which is made of solid blocks of wood, sandwiched between veneers of hardwood. This is then glued under high pressure. PEEL Ply's range of Block Boards are made from Burmese Gurjan Timber, reputed for its quality and rich looks.
